Elementary School years are filled with enthusiasm, cheerfulness, new knowledge and inventions about the world around, adventures through what is read, learned, and experienced, fellowship, and friendship.
Students continue to grow in understanding of God's presence in their lives and in all of their interactions with nature and others. Students are guided to better understand that God has a plan for each and everyone of them. Every lesson, school activity, and homework is based on God's truth in His Word. Students learn that God is above everything, and according to their development, students are guided to understand their roles and responsibilities to manage the world as ones who are created in the image of God. God's truth is not acquired and practiced through Bible or Character Foundation lesson only, but students learn from the beginning that every knowledge and skill is from God and for His glory. Students learn to do everything wholeheartedly as for God and not for people (Colossians 3:23). Besides guiding to excellence, this truth is very important as a foundation of their actions until their old age in order to think, speak, and act with full obedience to God and loving towards others. Although Biblical foundation and integration are clearly stated in some of student textbooks such as Character Foundation and EFL Passport to Adventure, educators apply these principles in every lesson plan and application of meaningfulness in learning. Keeping in mind, "Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus" (Colossians 1:28), educators observe the development of each student and build communication with parents/care givers, including being available to be contacted directly by phone as well as through daily Agenda book. In the last year of Elementary School, students enter pre-teen. They are expected to be ready to face challenges and dynamics ahead, including the impacts of globalization era with its rapid development of information technology and communication in terms of academic, moral, and social. |
