Welcome to Filiasofia School. This school was started with the desire to provide an education based on faith and godly character and to teach knowledge and skills as an integrated whole. In other words, both character education and academic achievement are inseparable. Through applying this school's core values in the light of the Word of God, our Highest Wisdom, one will grow wise and strive for excellence.
The curriculum that includes teaching and learning process as well as teaching materials and aids is based on the biblical worldview. The curriculum is selected, developed and continually refined to be delivered in the form of meaningful learning.
One of the main goals of meaningful learning is the fulfillment of the Creator’s mandate to manage this earth. This school has a development plan towards being an eco-green school that loves the nature and cares for the environment in ways that are educative, attractive, creative, and sustainable, such as the processing of organic and non-organic waste, water conservation, and urban agriculture practices.
This school is a not-for-profit national private school. That is, any profit gained will be used entirely for the school development.
Every teacher and staff in this school is an educator who is willing to continually learn, to strive for the best, and has a heart to serve others. This school is committed to continually develop educators through reliable and good quality people development program.
Upon its establishment, this school was named Filadelfia, following its foundation's name. Filadelfia (Revelation 3:7-13) means "brotherly love". As the name implies, each one in this school relates one another as in a family. Educators represent the parents in the school and they maintain good communication with parents/care givers.
Educators pay attention to and care for each student in order to maximize one’s potential as a unique individual to carry out God's mandate to manage the earth and His creation, and to be a blessing to the nation and the world.
Effective 2 January 2017, Filadelfia School had a new name, i.e. Filiasofia that consists of two words, filia and sofia - meaning love of wisdom - a name that is in accordance with the word of God which is the foundation for the existence of this school, "Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever." (Daniel 12:3, NIV)
