Curriculum

Biblical Foundation and Integration

Biblical worldview as the foundation of and is integrated with the overall teaching and learning process, including every school activity. Since the beginning God mandated people to manage the world and His creations (Genesis 1:26-28). to love God with all heart, soul, and mind, and to love others as oneself (Matthew 22:37-40). People need God's wisdom in doing His commandment with fear of God that is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10).

This school's education is expected to bring the students to have close personal relationship with God, their Creator, Savior, and Helper in order to enable them to do His will and live in truth for His glory.

Differentiated Instruction and Assessment for Learning

This school believes that each student is unique before God and God has special plan and purpose for each student. Therefore, in doing their role and responsibility, educators constantly strive to train and pay attention on each student in accordance to one's uniqueness for the fulfillment of God's plan and purpose for one. "Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus"" (Colossians 1:28)

Differentiated Instruction or Differentiated Classroom means to teach differently in order to address students diverse needs (Gibson, n.d.) through modifying curriculum with different level of challenges according to student's ability, interest, and learning profile in order to ensure maximized student's growth that also means maximizing student's potential (Tomlinson 1999 dan Corley 2005).

One of the tools to help the success of differentiated instruction is assessment for learning that is done throughout teaching and learning process in order to diagnose student's need, to provide feedback, and to plan for next steps (Stiggins et al. 2007).
