God orders parents to diligently educate and teach their children to love God (Deuteronomy 6: 1-9), so their children will give them peace and joy (Proverbs 29:17).
Before there was school or church, the children's education depended entirely to parents at home. Although at this time Christian school education and church can help a child become as God wants one to be, still the main responsibility in guiding, training, and educating children's spiritual life lies on the parents. Parents need to train their children to have a personal relationship with God in order to fulfill the purpose God who created them (Elshof 2001).
As sense of community brings a positive impact to academic achievement (Wighting, Nisbet and Spaulding 2009), in fulfilling their call, educators continuously seek and establish close cooperation with parents/care givers of each student to train up the student in the way one should go so that when one grows up, one will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6), being a qualified and tested person according to school's Vision, Core Values, and Goals.
